Investment Management in Middletown, NJ

We manage your portfolio with protection in mind first. That means knowing how much of a drop you can handle before we chase any gain, spreading money sensibly across holdings, and explaining every change in plain terms so you always know where your money sits.

Investing that starts with what you can't afford to lose

Most people who come to us are not looking for the hottest fund. They want their savings to grow without a bad year undoing a decade of work. So we begin with your goals, your timeline and the money you will need to reach in the next few years, and we build the portfolio around those limits.

We are Series 66 and SIE licensed, which allows us to give investment advice and manage accounts for clients. Day to day, that looks like choosing a mix of investments, watching it, rebalancing when it drifts, and talking with you before anything meaningful changes.

Investment management works best alongside the rest of your financial plan. If you are close to retirement, passing money to family, or weighing taxes on a sale, we connect this work with our retirement planning, legacy planning and tax management services.

What our investment management covers

A written risk profile
We talk through past market drops you have lived through and how you felt about them. Then we put your risk range in writing so both of us can point to it later.
Portfolio design and diversification
We spread your money across asset types so no single company, sector or fund can sink your plan. Cash you will need soon is kept separate from long-term money.
Ongoing monitoring and rebalancing
Markets move your mix away from where it started. We bring it back into line on a set schedule, and sooner if it drifts far enough to change your risk.
Review of old and scattered accounts
Old 401(k)s, brokerage accounts and IRAs often hold overlapping funds or forgotten fees. We line them up side by side and show you what each one is actually doing.
Reports you can read
You get clear statements of what you own, what it cost, and how it has done against your goals. Questions get answered by phone or video, not by a form letter.

Signs it may be time for help with your investments

  • You don't know your real risk

If you can't say roughly how much your portfolio might fall in a rough year, it is hard to tell if your savings are actually protected.

  • Your accounts are spread everywhere

Several old workplace plans and a brokerage account can quietly add up to far more in one stock or sector than you meant to hold.

  • You sold during the last downturn

Selling on a scary day and missing the recovery is one of the most common ways savings get hurt. A plan you agreed to in calm times makes those days easier.

  • A big change is coming

Retirement, an inheritance, selling a business or a new baby all shift what your money needs to do.

  • You haven't rebalanced in years

A portfolio left alone through a long rising market can end up much riskier than the one you started with.

How we work with you

  1. 1

    Introductory meeting

We meet at our office or by phone or video. You tell us what you have, what worries you and what you are working toward. We tell you plainly whether we think we can help.

  2. 2

    Account review and risk conversation

With your statements in hand, we map every holding and fee. We agree on a risk range and the cash you want kept within reach.

  3. 3

    Your proposed portfolio

We show you the mix we recommend, why each piece is there, and what it costs. Nothing moves until you are comfortable with it.

  4. 4

    Careful transition

We move money in steps, watching for taxes, surrender charges and timing so the switch itself doesn't cost you more than it should.

  5. 5

    Regular check-ins

We review the portfolio with you on a schedule and whenever your life changes, adjusting the plan rather than reacting to headlines.

What affects the cost of investment management

Our fees depend on what you need us to manage and how involved the work is. We walk you through how we are paid before you sign anything, and we point out the fund costs inside your accounts too, since those come out of your returns as well. You will know the full picture, not just our share.

Size of the portfolio
The amount of money under management is usually the biggest factor in the fee.
Number and type of accounts
Several IRAs, a joint account, trust accounts and business plans each take more setup and monitoring than a single account.
Complexity of your situation
Concentrated company stock, rental income or a pending business sale adds planning work.
How much coordination you want
Tying investments to tax management or retirement income planning takes more time than portfolio management alone.

Investment management questions

Something not covered here? (732) 655-2271

Can you promise my portfolio won't lose money?

No, and anyone who does is not being straight with you. All investing carries risk. What we can do is size that risk to your situation, keep money you need soon out of volatile holdings, and make sure a downturn doesn't force you to sell at a bad time.

Do I have to move all my accounts to you?

No. Some clients start with one account and add others later. We can still look at your full picture so we don't double up on the same risks.

How often will we talk?

We set a regular review schedule together, and you can reach us by phone whenever something comes up. If markets get rough, we would rather hear your concerns early than have you worry alone.

Will moving my investments trigger taxes?

It can, especially in taxable brokerage accounts. We check the tax effect before selling anything and often move positions gradually. Retirement accounts can usually be rolled over without a tax bill when it is done correctly.

Does life insurance fit into investment management?

Sometimes. Protecting your family's income is a different job from growing a portfolio. When it belongs in your plan, we look at it through our life insurance consulting service so a policy is judged on what it protects, not treated as an investment.
